COURSES START in May 2021

Please remember that you can train only when you are fully healthy. We highly recommend using a face mask or a face visor. You can buy it also from our gyms.

In case you have to interrupt the course or the course is interrupted due to the authorities’ orders regarding the pandemic, your course fee and right to attendance are valid until the course is completed.

We do not require prior experience or great physical shape, only your interest and
enthusiasm to train matter!

DURATION OF THE COURSES

In case you start a new combat sport, you must participate in the basic course first which
lasts for about 2 months; training is once or twice per week depending on the course; one
training lasts for about 60-90 minutes. The enrolment period is two weeks from the start
date of the course!
Training schedule stays the same throughout the whole course.

Age limit

Minimum age is 14-15 years old. (18 years old for Krav Maga)

PRICES FOR BASIC COURSE

– Basic course 128 EUR (16 EUR/week), students 90 EUR (11,25 EUR/week), student
card/certificate required (learn more in student discount section). The price includes
possible level/belt test
– Fitness boxing 89 EUR/10 times/valid for 3 months from the moment of purchase
– Junior Thai for the whole spring x EUR

EQUIPMENT

We do not require special training clothes or equipment; outfit for indoor training is enough

How to get a student discount:
you are a full-time student in a university, college, university of applied sciences,
vocational school or upper secondary school.
– you do not work in a permanent position for the government
– you study on a basic (Bachelor level) and you do not have a finished Master’s degree
– your studying lasts for at least 8 months without interruption
– institution is under public supervision
– students with multiform studies should have 60% of their studies as contact lessons.
NOTE! Pupils in comprehensive school cannot receive a student discount

  • Krav Maga Self-Defence

    Morning course:
    Tue 4.5 at 9:15-10:30 and
    Thu 6.5. at 9:15-10:30

    128 € / 90 €. Students can choose morning or evening training or participate in all training sessions. This self-defence course is suitable for women also. The enrolment period is two weeks from the start date of the course.

    TRAINING SCHEDULE:

    Tuesday at 9.15-10.30 and

    Monday at 19.00-20.00 and
    Wednesday at 18.00-19.00

    Students can choose morning or evening training or participate in all training sessions. You can also later attend a training session in Myyrmäki if you skip a class.

    COURSE CONTENT:
    Technical part: defence against grips and chokes, punches and kicks, bladed weapons and sticks as well as a defence on the ground and against multiple attackers.
    Tactical part: self-defence and movement tactics, usage of improvised weapons in defending oneself, informing about criminal actions and usage of the right of self-defence (RL 4:4§).

    REQUIREMENTS:
    18 years old, with a clean record (no criminal background)

  • Thaiboxing/Kickboxing combined course

    Tue 4.5. at 20:00-21:15 and
    Thu 6.5. at 20:00-21:15

    128 € / 90 €. After completing the basic course, you can join our advanced classes in Thai boxing, Kickboxing and Ladythai in Sörnäinen and Myyrmäki.

    COURSE CONTENT:
    Stance and moving
    Punching technique: different hooks + dodging/blocking
    Kicking technique: different kicks + dodging/blocking
    Training with equipment: ropes, punchbags, punch mitts and boxing gloves

    MAGNETIC CARD – 10 EUR (Cash deposit)
    At the beginning of training, each individual must get an access card from our office (cash deposit of 10 EUR, the deposit will be returned to you when you finish training completely and return the card to the office). The access card gives you entry to gyms in Sörnäinen and Myyrmäki. The card has to be swiped before every training session; after swiping the card, an automatic receipt is printed out. This receipt has to be given to the instructor at the beginning of training. You cannot participate in the training without the receipt.

  • FITNESS BOXING

    FITNESS BOXING – INTENSIVE EXCERSICE
    Fitness boxing is an effective form of exercise suitable for women, men and young people of all ages who would like to do intensive and fun exercise with boxing techniques. There is no competing in fitness boxing, but you can burn calories, defeat neck and shoulder pain as well as stress with the help of the punchbag and a pair of gloves.

    FITNESS BOXING
    – is diverse and has a positive impact on the whole musculoskeletal system
    – is effective in terms of burning calories
    – is fun and includes different kinds of training
    – is challenging, since you learn how to master basic techniques
    – is relaxing
    – is affordable; a beginner only needs the gear suitable for indoor training
    – builds self-confidence: basic technique is strengthened, the physical and mental shape is
    improved by doing fitness boxing and training muscles
    – prevents neck, shoulder or back pain and improves metabolism
    – relieves and prevents stress
    – suitable for the whole family as a hobby

    ROOTS IN TRADITIONAL BOXING
    Fitness boxing is a physical sport which developed in the 1980s from competitive boxing. The match training was then left out completely and more focus was given to training with a punchbag and in pairs.

    WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?
    Fitness boxing is suitable for women and men of all ages as well as young people as a combat sport and fitness training.

    START FITNESS BOXING TRAINING
    There is no basic course for this sport in our Academy. You can join our training sessions whenever. The basics of fitness boxing are taught step by step.

    TRAINING CLOTHES
    Outfit for indoor training, barefoot (or soft-soled shoes for indoor or boxing training). Please bring your own gloves if possible. We also have gloves in our gym for borrowing.

    FITNESS BOXING WITH A TEN-VISIT CARD
    The ten-visit card is valid for 3 months from the moment of purchase. Visits left unused can be regained by purchasing a new ten-visit card.

    If you buy a ten-visit card, you can also join fitness boxing training in Myyrmäki on Monday at 18:00-19:00 and Tuesday at 18:30-19:30.
